Willis - Turner Family Reunion

MINNESOTA

Welcome to the Willis-Turner Family Reunion Site!

About Us

We are the descendants of Jim Willis and Gussie (Turner) Willis. Our earliest family records of the two are from the 1900 US Census, showing Gussie Turner as a child in Claiborne, Louisiana. The 1920 Census shows record of Jim Willis, wife Gussie, 4 children (at the time), his father, and brother in Columbia County, Arkansas. The two wed December 28th, 1913 in Arkansas and went on to have eight children. Now we are all across the country.

Stay in touch!

The goal of this event is to bring together our Willis and Turner families from across the country, creating new memories and strengthening our connection.

Twin Cities

Minneapolis–Saint Paul is a metropolitan area centered around the confluence of the Mississippi, Minnesota and St. Croix rivers in the U.S. state of Minnesota. It is commonly known as the Twin Cities after the area's two largest cities (or the seven-county metro area collectively). It is Minnesota’s economic, cultural, and political center.  The Twin Cities is a regional center for the arts, with cultural institutions such as the Guthrie Theater, Minnesota Orchestra, and Walker Art Center.  This is the place that sparked the 2020 (inter)national protests, this is Native land, the "land of 10,000 lakes", home to several well known fortune 500 companies, and much more than a winter vortex and the Mall of America. Not to forget, the hometown of legendary recording artist, Prince.
